Molly Sugarman is originally from Baltimore, Maryland. In 2022, she received Master’s in Education Studies degree from Wake Forest University, where she completed her thesis on educational digital games and its impact on student engagement and achievement. Molly graduated in 2021 with her Bachelor’s in Computer Science and a dual minor in Entrepreneurship and Schools, Education and Society.
During her undergraduate study, Molly was a part of Wake Forest University’s Deacon Springboard program in the 2018 and 2019 cohort, where she gained mentorship from entrepreneurs and advice from her fellow group-mates as she developed MEMdo. In 2021, she joined Wake Forest’s Startup Lab accelerator program, where she gained mentorship in the final stages of launching her app.
Molly is dyslexic herself and came up with the idea of MEMdo in 6th grade, while a student at Jemicy School, as a way to support her own, classmates, and communities need.
